I was lucky to win an arc copy of this book of bookish first. I was drawn to this book first by its cover, then by its opening, “A soft spring night in Savannah. I enjoyed it immensely. Not having visited Savannah, it gave me what I think was an accurate picture of the tourist and underbelly aspects of the city . The overall story was rich in detailed writing. This book is a novel but what got my interest was that it was based on fact. It’s a fun read and I had a hard time putting it down. It's chock full of atmosphere, mystery and Savannah's history...a lot of which isn't good. It's meant to be digested and contemplated. There are a lot of characters. Their ate a lot of twists and turns in the plot of this story but overall it’s a great read. It can be very atmospheric at times. I’m not a fan of mystery’s but I really enjoyed this one. All in all, I would absolutely recommend this book.
