The cover is so eye catching, I’ll admit that I saw the cover and immediately thought historical fiction. I love historical fiction. And there’s definitely a historical fiction aspect to this book. But I feel like it’s more of a gothic murder mystery, it seems well written from this excerpt but it’s definitely not a fit for me. I don’t like scary or creepy or true crime.
