Marie Lu is one author who I will automatically read no matter what she puts out there. The Legend series is one of my absolute favorites. When I heard she was writing her first historical fiction novel I was very excited to see what she would come up with. Needless to say, I was not disappointed!
The Kingdom of Back reads like a fantasy but it is based in fact. Mozart did have a sister who he traveled with and they did make up stories about a place called The Kingdom of Back. Lu was able to take this one small snippet from a Mozart biography and turn it into an amazing creative and original tale. I hope there are more historical fiction books by Lu coming soon!
