A little dark fantasy about the Mozart family - I was sold from the start. I really enjoyed this book. It is very beautifully written- lyrical and really made the music dance across the page. I was really impressed by Nannerl's story- she lives in a time when women are solely wives and mother's and she has beliefs that she is as capable as her brother to compose and play. I really believed in the characters and their motivations - Nannerl to not be forgotten, their father status and money.
I rated it 4/5 only because of the ending. After a rich story drenched in fantasy and magic, the ending was very normal and lefting me just a little wanting. It was very real and I'm sure it was the closest to true. It was a little bleak after her fight the whole book.

Overall, this was a rich dark historical fantasy that was original in everyway. I really enjoyed this new book and style by Marie Lu.
