This was a magical book to read! Marie Lu has such a wonderful writing style! I will read anything she has written! Through the whole book Nannerl battles with her conscience and I also think, madness. The jealousy she feels for her brother's abilities versus the love she feels for him creates quite the struggle in her mind. The temptation to be famous, when it's not proper for a female, nearly takes over her mind. The way she is treated by her father makes it a hard book to read and I had to remind myself that it took place in a different time than our own. The only thing that keeps me from thinking it was madness is the fact that Wolferl also had seen the same thing in his dreams. A really entertaining book with bits of history woven in. A magnificent writer!
