This book was everything I was hoping for and more. Thirsting for knowledge when I was younger, and as a musician for most of my life, I was always interested in the histories of the main well-known composers, their families, and even I didn't know that Mozart had an equally talented prodigy sister. Too often women are erased from history despite their contributions, and I think this novel does an excellent job, showcasing this first hand with Nannerl. The fantasy aspects are dream-like and skillfully crafted, and I loved the Faerie elements. With twists and turns one might not expect, but an ultimate ending that anyone who knows much about Mozart can expect, this book was simultaneously thrilling, stimulating, historical, but fantastical in all the right ways. This book is definitely worth the read.
