I was excited to read this one and it did not disappoint. Nannerl Mozart is already a fascinating historical figure, and a book about her plus Faerie seemed right up my alley. I especially loved the relationship between Nannerl and her brother and how its ups and downs were explored. While at times events between them seemed to happen a little suddenly, overall I thought the sibling relationship was done very well and truly stood out as the most important part of the story.

I would have liked a little more about the antagonist, especially with regard to his motivations--what did he really want with the Mozarts? While I liked the magic and mystery of The Kingdom of Back and did find the antagonist to be dark and compelling, it was still easy to see that he was manipulating the Mozarts, so it would have been more fulfilling to know why.

Overall, though, I definitely recommend this one. I couldn't put it down.
