Kingdom of Back is enchanting! The writing is exquisite, it perfectly describes music and is laced with magic that just makes the whole premise of the book so interesting! Our characters are based on real people, and it establishes their connection as just as we’ve known. I actually never knew about Marie Anna Mozart, and I love how Marie Lu wrote this story on her point of view. The story perfectly describes the siblings’ closeness as well as the rivalry that could possibly sprout because of their father’s ambitious plans. It just wrenches my heart to have the two of them so close but as well rivals.
Aside from the characters, the Kingdom of Back is actually real, or at least based on what the siblings actually done when they were children. And the fact that the author used this fact to build another world and a whole new story is amazing. Definitely an anticipated read for 2020!
