This is an alternative historical fictional story mixed with the magical. I enjoyed this story immensely. The characters were realistic and kept me enthralled in the tale. This is the story of Nannerl who is the older sister to Wolfgang Mozart. Nannerl is also enthralled by music and eager to please her demanding father with her performance. Despite her immense talent her gender has doomed her to always be in the shadows - merely an accompaniment to her brother who will be the one remembered for all time. Nannerl wishes to always be remembered for her music and a mysterious and magical voice promises her they can deliver what she most desires. Every favor has a price and Nannerl discovers some prices may be beyond what we are willing to pay.
