This Time Period and Subject Do Not Interest Me
I was initially intersted in this book because the cover is absolutely gorgeous. I wish that would have translated to the story for me. I just did not find it particularly. This time period and subject are just not my thing.
I think the writing is really good, and anyone who knows Marie Lu's work knows her prose is flawless. It is so descriptive and laden with enticing words and phrases... but that is just not enough to overcome the lack of interest in this particular story for me.
