interesting mix of ya historical fiction and fantasy

This book grabbed my attention with its beautiful cover. Then, I noticed it was written by Marie Lu, so I thought I'd give it a try. I really enjoy Lu's writing. She has a way of drawing you into her stories with ease. This excerpt was no exception.

I found this story to be an interesting mix of ya historical fiction and fantasy. I was immediately interested in the characters and look forward to seeing where the story brings them.
