I was absolutely enchanted by this book. The writing is lovely and haunting. It is the kind of story that calls to the dreams and longing we carry in our hearts. In its pages, the line between dream and reality, magic and the ordinary, becomes blurred. It almost had a magical realism feel to it, but the fantasy aspects permeated the story more and more as the tale progressed.
I can tell already that it will address powerful themes, such as the weight of expectations and the bond between a brother and sister. And what it feels like to live in another's shadow.
