This book has been on my TBR list for so long and I'm so glad that I was finally able to read it! I loved the world that Natalie Mae wrote. It's very clear that Natalie took the time to be as thorough as possible while maintaining the reader's attention. Also, every character that was introduced in the story definitely contributed to how the story moved forward beginning, Zahru was timid and afraid to take risks but as the story moves forward her personality changes. The circumstances that she was thrown into helped her adapt to rapid changes and she isn't afraid of taking risks to find her way home to her dad.

Having Zahru be the sacrifice helps the reader give more insight on how each heir works and gives subtle hints on how each heir has their own pros and cons if they're the next king/queen. Katsa, Jet, and Sakira have their own pains and have all found their own way of trying to combat it. I'm going to be honest, Sakira and Jet both found a way to adapt to their pain a tad bit better than Kasta but that doesn't mean that they necessary chose the right path. They all have made mistakes and live with them and its intriguing to see how those mistakes have shaped them to be who they are when Zahru meets them. Jet's the most considerate of the 3 while Kasta is the most unpredictable because I couldn't tell what he was thinking of doing most of the time. Sakira, however, is the most outgoing and liked by the people. All three have their own strengths that can only work for them which made the plot much more interesting.

Overall, I went into this book knowing absolutely nothing and despite that fact, The Kinder Poison didn't fail to meet my expectations!
