You know one thing I really appreciate about dialogue in a story--even when it's a monologue, is the presence of humor. The funny sarcasm "I'm not thinking about that right now" in the very first part of this story, before they even start the real adventure of lying (not lying!) to her friend's mother and taking risks--is making this story a keeper already. The human element in a storyline where there is magic is guaranteed to make the reader (me!) laugh and enjoy the journey along the way. I cannot wait to see where Zahru ends up and if she is truly able to become the most powerful individual in the story. Anyone with that much spunk and humor in a bad situation has to be a winner in my book. Please send me a review copy so I can finish the story!
