Now more than ever we need kindness and The Kinder Poison comes at a perfect time.
One thing that I absolutely love about this book is the setting. So many YA fantasies seem to take place in that same magical castle/land but The Kinder Poison spends most of its time in the desert. Think brightly colored wraps, kohl lined eyes, sandstorms and horseback rides all the while racing for your life. Two princes, one princess and a simple farm girl all trying to get to the finish line because if you don’t it could be the difference between life and death.
The author does a great job with the world building and the underlying truth of using your words to change minds as opposed to violence. Sprinkle some romance and bam! You have a solid debut book!
