I absolutely loved The Kinder Poison! It is one of my new favorite series. The pacing was very well done, with never a dull moment. Zahru is a very relatable character, who many readers will connect with. Given the ability to communicate with animals, Zahru's talent is seen as lowly. When she sneaks into the palace for one night of freedom, she could never have predicted the consequences that await her. Forced to enter into a competition where she is the prize, Zahru must quickly determine who is her enemy and who she can trust. I loved the royal siblings, their distinct personalities, secret motivations, and schemes! This book is like a delightful slice of chocolate cake! The Kinder Poison is book one in what promises to be a fantastic new series.
