The cover design is very attractive, and I'm sure I would have opened this book in a brick and mortar book store. I like the mystery of what a daughter is searching for after her mother's death. I did find myself thinking that a certain American whiskey manufacturer must love all the references to that brand in both current popular songs and books such as this - on the first page, no less. I think this book's official comparison to Nicholas Sparks is one-hundred percent correct. The Black character seemed a bit stereotypical, like Jim the slave in Huckleberry Finn.
