ominous oddities
i really enjoyed the calm and mundane way it started out, simply smoking a cigarette with our character. i got a strong, odd sensation of hearing and smelling the salty sea & her smoke.
i was briefly lost from the amount of realist science speech, but when i read ‘giant snails’ i instantly perked up and was alert and interested the rest of the way. the science part of the text is simple to follow, just takes a bit of concentration but nothing overbearing.
there is enough mysterious fiction weaved through out for the science to be engaging and fun. i personally love science and sci-fi and under the sea stories.
the bright green,
matrix-and-the-abyss-mashup aesthetic
is what made me click on the story. then of course, the summary captured me even more.
i had very much wished there was a long sample. once i have saved up some points, this will be one i consider claiming <3
