This trilogy was fantastically science fiction! I am not a huge die-hard fan of science fiction (although I like to think that I enjoy it anyway). However, this trilogy was actually enjoyable for me! I think that the plot concept was really good and the execution was pretty good as well. It wasn't necessarily my prefered genre (as I stated above) but that didn't steal too much from the enjoyment.
The plot and characters weren't the best of sci-fi, though. I have seen better. It wasn't as captivating, and I think that mostly falls on the writing itself, not as much the story.
Still, I think it was a good read and I would recommend it to anyone who likes to read science fiction on a regular basis.
