I typically do not read sci-if books; however, Marshall Ross’ depiction of humans and aliens was one I couldn’t pass up. When we first meet Sarah and Trin, you don’t think much because of their posts or roles. These two prove to be open and curious which is something to consider when meeting people of different cultures.
I loved how Sarah was able to convince Trin’s community of her humanity by his advice to “just be yourself.” And because Sarah does just that, she’s allows those who meet her to see though she’s different, she’s a human being and deserves to thrive.
Oh and when you meet Laird, you’ll either hate her or feel compassion for her. I still don’t understand what drove her to sabotage the clock and I hope Marshall Ross will reveal the reasons in the next installment.
