Of course, the cover is AMAZING - with a telling visual, beautifully executed, it reveals just enough to urgently demand that Lost Arrow be explored by curious readers with advanced taste in the genre. And by thinky newcomers too!

Page 6 is where it happened for me - the point where I knew that I was in very capable hands with this writer, Marshall Ross. That’s when the decision was made - whether I win a free 3 book set of the Kalelah Series or not, I will be buying the whole series, because I simply need to read the rest of it.

The writing style suggests that a serious reader and an engaging storyteller is hard at work here - the pacing clips along with solid character development that makes us want to hang around with these people for many pages, as this unusual adventure unfolds.

Lost Arrow strikes me as a page turner, but a thoughtful and sophisticated one - no pulp fiction here, but a well crafted and interesting yarn, unfolding with thoughtful intelligence, by a guy who knows exactly what he’s doing. He has my full attention, and has quietly instilled in me that vague combination of fear and excitement that suggests that perhaps I should be expecting the unexpected... I really can’t wait to read the rest of it.
