First off, I would like to say, if I went missing or if I had to go on a dangerous mission, I would really want to have Alice Vega on my side! She is such a tough woman and will do anything to solve the case, even if it means knocking a guy or two down with bolt cutters or whatever other tool she happens to keep in that locked trunk.
And that is what she does in this book. Multiple times. There are two dead girls and others that are missing and Alice blows past all red tape and anyone who tries to stop her to find those girls. Her and Cap are an unstoppable team and work really well together.
This is a great detective novel and though I never read the first book, I was easily able to keep up with this one and I will definitely read the first one after this.
