I might be a little biased because I’ve followed the podcast the characters in this book are based off of, but nonetheless it did not come to disappoint! This book is told from each of the two main characters’ perspectives alternating their internal monologues each chapter. We follow Caleb and Adam on their ending years of high school trying to figure out life and themselves and their sexualities out as they go, yaknow while also figuring out one of them has a special magical-ish ability! The way this book reads makes it a breeze to get through and some parts of the writing are so beautiful that they feel like absolutely poetry. I am always in awe of anything Lauren Shippen does. Her work will always stand out to me.
