I was lucky to receive an advanced copy of this book through Bookish First. I love Young Adult novels, and this book was super refreshing and original. It is based off of the author's podcast, The Bright Sessions, which I am dying to check out next!
I thought the conversational flow to the book made it an easy, quick, and engaging read, especially for young adults. The superpower twist made it even more interesting and unique. It also features positive LGBTQ representation and mental health awareness.
The characters were extremely relatable (despite the superpower angle), and it was easy to make a connection to their thoughts and actions. The style of writing was unique and creative, and brought a smile to my face.
