I absolutely loved this book. Lauren Shippen not only finds the words to describe ever-elusive emotions, but she finds a unique lens through which to talk about them--superpowers. Caleb and Adam are relatable because we get to see right into their brains where they are the most honest versions of themselves. They don't put on any kind of show in the way they think about their own emotions, which allowed me as a reader to fully understand and empathize (no pun intended) with them. As a fan of the Bright Sessions, I appreciated getting to see what was going on behind the scenes of all of Caleb's sessions, why he was behaving how he was. I only wish the book went on longer, so I could see what all was going on when things really started getting wild toward the end of the podcast, but maybe that would have been too much to fit in this book. I hope there's another soon!
