Shippen's The Infinie Noise starts out as too many novels with a male teen character start out - with a sprinkling of F bombs .. probably to make him seem realistic.
Maybe it's because having been a counselor myself, it just didn't grip me as it might have otherwise, or maybe I just wasn't able to read farther into the story.
