I'm a huge fan of contemporaries with some sort of fantastical/science fiction-y element poured in (magical realism, urban fantasy, etc etc), so I'm very interested in this story about an "Atypical" teen, and how this world and these superpowers will develop. I'd give this 4/5 stars, since I found myself a lot more immediately drawn to Adam's voice than Caleb's, and for some other nitpicky details (i.e. italics overuse), but this is a story I can see myself growing to love.
