Oh, the world of YA! I have to remind myself to read YA through the lens of teens (I teach junior high and like to keep in tune with the things they're reading), but I have a hard time personally enjoying YA when it's full of the angsty teenage plight that I deal with every day. So that all to say, I have mixed feelings but I think this one would be really appealing to teens. It is slightly reminiscent of Schwab's Villains series in having two male characters with different sorts of abilities and their worlds colliding because of it. The premise is interesting and I'll be curious to see how people respond after it's published.
