That book description, "If you knew the date of your death, how would you live your life?" 1.) Got my immediate attention, 2.) Raised my expectations about as high as they can go, 3.) Lived up to those expectations.
"The Immortalists" is about four siblings who are told by a psychic when they're going to die and the way each of their lives proceed after this encounter. The narrative goes the way you might expect, split up by the four siblings and spanning decades, covering each of their lives and the way they divert from each other. Deny that the fortune is real and live as normally as you can? Believe in the fortune wholeheartedly and live life to the fullest? Go against fate and search for a way to live longer?
