A hot, unairconditioned summer in 1969 leads 4 bored siblings to seek out a seer said to be able to predict your time of death. They all have time with her and walk away with their own burdens.

College awaits the eldest 2 and they leave again to continue. Simon, the youngest at 16, busses out to San Francisco with his sister Klara, and quickly finds a job as a dancer in a gay bar and himself in the burgeoning gay scene.

Klara, seeking magic since childhood, perfects her acts, performing in nightclubs as she finds them. She marries, has a daughter, succumbs.
Daniel, the rock of the family, is a doctor. He marries. He lives his life. Until the seer is brought again into focus.
Varya, given the promise of longevity, deals. Remaining when so much is taken is hard. She has issues. She has secrets. She has to find her own escape.
