This stunning tale follows a family as they live their lives, haunted by a telling of their own fortunes by a seer in their youth. The idea of knowing your date of death (and how that would impact how you lived your life) is one that has spurned a great deal of discussion and book plots. However, The Immortalists is one of the few books based on this theme that manages to capture the "truth" of the emotions that would accompany such an event. Straddling the line between staying true to yourself and your family and making the most of the little time we have, The Immortalists is a tantalizing tale of family, love, betrayal, and magic which is as captivating as it is thought-provoking.
