I currently have this book on my bedside table, but I keep getting distracted and have been thus unable to read it. I hear nothing but good reviews and I see all the buzz about it on Bookstagram.

Honestly, the first few sentences, graphic descriptions of a nude woman, makes me squirm and feel very uncomfortable. Is the whole book going to be this way? If so, I'm hesitant to continue reading it.

Word in the book world is this is a family saga drama, and those can be very hit and miss for me. For me to love a book like this, it's got to be realistic, a somewhat happy ending, and not too much crassness throughout.

The cover is beautiful and intriguing, and honestly that is why I chose the book in the first place.
