This book excelled in my eyes because of the utter uniqueness of the plot. 4 siblings who as children discover the date of their death, and go on about their lives, grappling with the thought of death while simultaneously trying to live their lives to the fullest is a type of story I’ve never come across before or since. It was an emotional rollercoaster to say the least. I cheered on the siblings as they succeeded and cried when they failed. Simon was definitely my favorite of the siblings, especially since the subject matter was one which I don’t read about often. And done with such tender, raw honesty that it brought tears to my eyes. Chloe Benjamin is a beautiful writer, and I really want to read her other books now!
