If this book is mostly a story of poor woman versus rich woman, I'm not sure I'm here for that. On top of that, I work at a nonprofit and that hits a little close to home. What I will say is 18 pages isn't enough to scare me away from the book entirely. I'm intrigued enough by Ruthie's situation to see where it goes. Will she and her husband stay together? Will they sell the house? Will they get divorced? How does this Adeline fit into everything? I do want to find out.
