First, Emily escapes the brutal home intrusion by two men who leave Emily, her sister, and her mother for dead. Emily survived and goes on the run. She is scared and wants to seek revenge. Emily escapes with $5,000 that her father hid in their barn before he was killed in an accident at work.
Traveling by bus and train, Emily survives on her own for a month. She found someone on the internet that makes fake IDs. Lucas takes Emily in and ends up helping her. The unlikely curmudgeon and his girlfriend, Kiona, agree to train Emily to be able to seek her revenge on her family’s killers.
