While well-written, this is a type of read that I would be disturbed by as a teenager. The main character is 12 years old and the only survivor of a violent attack. She’s already managed to learn to steal, lie, and get on the dark web. And, while I am sure the writer has some good intentions with this – I had to stop reading the first impression halfway through. It was too disturbing as an adult to read.
