Apparently strangers that show up at Emily's house kill her family and she goes on the run from them. But in the preview, you have no idea what exactly happens, you have no idea why a twelve year old decided going on the run was a great idea, and you have no idea why she was even able to go on the run. Did she take off after her family was killed and before police arrived to take custody of her? Did her father die before the incident? How is she actually able to move from city to city without anyone stopping her as a minor? This feels implausible to me. It wouldn't really be appropriate for a twelve year old to read, but yet doesn't feel relatable to an adult.
