First off... The title of the book and the cover made me want to click and read about this book. I don't normally read First Impressions for ebooks (not a fan of ebooks) but this one caught my attention in a good way.
The book opens up to an incident happening with 2 sketchy men stopping at the house of Emily, her sister and her mother and I got a gut wrenching feeling something awful was going to happen. However, you don't know what happens because the author leaves it as a cliff hanger before going onto the next part of the story. This just adds to my intrigue of wanting to keep reading this book just to find out what tragedy occurred and the outcome.
Then it goes into Emily's story and her on the run per say heading on a train to Tennessee from Chicago and the harrowing effort it took to get there. You as a reader get a glimpse of what she has endured since she left home but it isn't until later you find out that she ran because her sister and mom were murdered.
I want to keep reading this book and find out all of it's layers. I think this is the first ebook that will I absolutely read all the way through and not feel annoyed with reading from a screen. Love the author's writing style and it how keeps you on the edge!!!!
