First of all, while the cover intrigued me, after reading a bit it seems to aside to even more! It's as if Emily is hiding in plain sight!
The first encounter where we met Emily, Becky and her mom, you can tell that she is a natural fighter and protector. But once you learn she has connived her way through many obstacles, all after loosing her her family, her journey becomes even more interesting.
The use of language is beautiful, which is rare and lovely for a novel in this genre.
I am left wanting more, feeling the ache to know what happens to this 12 year old girl on the run, as her past lingers on her mind, and possibly a killer still following her as she tries to escape from place to place.
I can't wait to read more!
