Mystery thrillers aren't typically what I gravitate towards, and if I do decide to pick one up the premise and the hook have to be super intriguing. While the first few chapters definitely make me have sympathy for Emily, what she has experienced is absolutely horrible for a kid so young, I'm not too invested to want to know what happens next. I'm sure this will be the greatest thriller for some, but I think I'll pass on this one.
