After reading the first couple of pages, I’m not sure this is for me. It leans heavily on the scifi side of fantasy, which is not my usual genre. The writing was fine but I didn’t find the characters to be very dynamic and memorable, which feels odd for a fantasy story, which is generally by definition different or unusual.
