Melissa de la Cruz's writing is actually amazing; the way I was sucked right into the first scene and could feel Spencer's panic was really an incredible start. She's been traumatized and keeps reliving the moment of the crash. I love when her friend Olivia visits and they crack jokes with each other. It was sweet and I liked them immediately. And then there's the mystery of what happened, and a podcast covering the story! So many elements that I love!
