This was a good excerpt. I liked that we got two solid chapters from the main character's point of view but also some additional pieces like the police report and the podcast dialogue. I really like it when books incorporate these additional real world elements. Generally, this reminds me a lot of "They Wish They Were Us" by Jessica Goodman mixed with "One of Us is Lying" by Karen McManus. Not a bad combination at all.
