Hendricks is a teenager who has moved to a new town to escape her mysterious past. Mysterious, because we don't know what happened between her and her last boyfriend. She ends up moving into a new house, haunted by the ghosts of what transpired there several years ago.
The book is geared for young adults, so your interest is kept well and the writing is not difficult, but there are a few areas that are questionable for young readers. There is a scene where a party is just expected from a high schooler and it includes a keg. She also sleeps in a bed with a boy. That is up to parent's discretion.
