I had read some of Danielle Vega's other works and generally enjoyed them, but I really enjoyed The Haunted. It felt suspenseful the entire way through and I really enjoyed the journey from beginning to end. The reveals were shocking, and there were twists and turns I wasn't expecting. Definitely would recommend for those who enjoy paranormal stories that have a lot of suspense involved. I enjoyed the romance between the two characters it was well-paced and they had a lot of chemistry. I wish it had been a little longer, the ending seemed a little rushed. Overall though, this was such an enjoyable read and I would highly recommend it. It's perfect for a younger reader to bridge their way into YA horror.
