I started this book while on vacation and had trouble finding the time to finish it. I couldn't wait to see what happened next. At first I found the book to be very predictable and basic genre, with a bit of unbelievable thrown in. Like why was the little brother always in bed? How could they be under construction with an 18 month old in the house? The brother was somewhat of a distraction to the story. As the book went on, I got more and more into it and was very surprised at the ending. I did not see that coming and usually I am able to read through plots. Job well done. If I had anything to caution about it is that some young readers may find the book too creepy and it may interrupt their ability to sleep well at night.
