From that goose-bump inducing prologue to the introduction of the main characters, I was hooked. The storytelling is spot on, the writing style is smooth and the paranormal plot twist is creepy good!

I am definitely rooting for Hendricks but maybe-too-good-to-be-true Connor, not-so-mean-girl Portia and broody-in-black Eddie are close seconds. I devoured this sneak peek and have a ton of questions that need answers ASAP. Glaringly obvious is the dark and morbid Steele House, the evil cologne scented basement inhabitant and the past Hendricks' is trying to outrun. The small town of Drearford promises to have some skeletons in their closet and I for one can't wait to find out what is in store for Hendricks. And is it just me or do some know more than their letting on? Oh the suspense!

The cover is also a perfect fit, scary but eye catching, non the less.
