This book is called The Haunted and as soon as the character said “It’s just a house,” I knew it was going to be trouble. And low and behold, I was kind of right. The characters were relatively interesting, the writing was good, and the prologue not only set up an eerie tone for the rest of the story it also hinted at the supernatural elements.
