The book begins with Hendrix noticing cliches at her school. Sadly, the book starts off just that: cliched. The premise is Buffy the Vampire Slayer and I was interested in finding out what was really going on with the character but the first chapter sucked down into Twilight and all the kids interested in the new girl. Teh second chapter starts to get interesting and then decays back into teen angst. I just couldn't do another story like this. Also, if books keep this up, no one will help animals!
