I won the arc of the hanged man’s tale so I got to read it early .
First thing first I love the imagery and the dark colors on the cover . Wow ! That’s all I really love about it though . Sad yes I know !
The writing was fine . The length is okay . The premise was great but the execution.. well not so much. There was lots of names and information about the people that was somewhat hard to follow. There was lots of different paths in the book that didn’t go anywhere really . The person trying to figure it out becomes friends with a suspect most likely because she is sexy and a woman . The chemistry was not really there . I didn’t realize at first this a sequel. Yep there is a first book in a series . The ending opens up the possibility of a third book . For fans of this person writing and the book that’s great news for you!! I personally wouldn’t recommend this book but maybe this author is not my cup of tea !
